Gabon Coup:There will be no Coup in Nigeria except if the North sanctions it, Ohanaeze praises Nigeria’s Military allegiance to Tinubu
Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, has warned President Bola Tinubu of the dangers ahead and cautioned him that the recent coup waves in Francophone African countries are warnings over the continuous declarations of fraudulent election results in Africa, bad governments, lack of respect to the Constitution by political elites and the West imposition of geriatric African Presidents who are stooges of the West are the reasons why they are Military coups in Africa.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Ohanaeze Ndigbo said that Nigeria will not be caught up with the waves of coups in Africa except if the North sanctions it.
The group said that the Northern leadership and political leaders are dissatisfied with Tinubu’s Presidency and are waiting patiently for the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal verdict on September 16th, 2023, to know their line of action.
Ohanaeze Ndigbo said that the Northern leadership shut down President Tinubu’s led Ecowas planned invasion of Niger Republic through the Northern Senators, the Traditional Rulers, and their Elder statesmen who are unhappy with the President’s style of leadership and key appointments to Southwest.
The group said that they are weighing options, and in case of any Presidential Rerun election, the North will likely work against Tinubu.
Ohanaeze Ndigbo said that the continuous closure of Borders, and halting of electricity supply to the Niger Republic will continue to enrage the North and it will come with consequences from them.
The leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex Igbo socio-cultural organization, has praised the Nigerian Military for their total allegiance to President Bola Tinubu and their continuous vows to continue to safeguard and uphold Nigerian Democracy.
In a statement issued by the Secretary-General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, Ohanaeze Ndigbo said that there are no justifications for the hardship Nigerians are experiencing with the subsidy removal and the near collapse of the nation’s economy.
The group said that Northern Nigeria is in shock with the way Tinubu’s Presidency is steering the ship of Nigeria’s State and the trepidation of feasible restructuring of the country, the appointment of vibrant Southerner as FCT Minister, and most importantly key positions to Southwest has thrown the North into confusion and premonition of the future.
Ohanaeze Ndigbo called on President Tinubu to firmly end the hardships Nigerians are encountering and he should be wary of the North.
The group said that to pacify the North now will calm down their nerves, especially through the reopening of the closed borders with the Niger Republic and their restoration of electricity.
Ohanaeze Ndigbo said that to continue to ignore the North will be disastrous as the consequences will affect Tinubu’s progress in tackling insecurity and his chances if there will be Rerun.
