Ganduje declares 19-day holiday for APC workers
The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Ganduje, has approved a three-week break for staff working in the national headquarters of the party to celebrate the Christmas and New Year holidays.
This was contained in a circular pasted at the entrance of the party secretariat in Abuja by the APC Director of Administration, Prof A. A. Adediwura.
The announcement comes two days after Ganduje participated in the official public launch of a new book, ‘APC and Transition Politics’ authored by fiery APC chieftain, Salihu Lukman, in Abuja.
In the memo titled ‘End of the Year break’, Adediwura disclosed that the 19 days break, which commenced on Wednesday, was to enable a safe passage for workers who are travelling out of the Federal Capital Territory for the holiday.
The party, however, noted there may be instances where some staff may be recalled when the need arises.
The circular read, “This is to inform all staff that the secretariat will be partially closed at the end of work on Wednesday, 20th December, for end of the year break to enable those who have scheduled traveling arrangements to embark on the same with ease.
“The secretariat will reopen on January 8, 2024, when normal activities resume. Please note that in between this period, some selected staff will be contacted and engaged in skeletal activities accordingly.
“I wish you successful end-of-the-year celebrations and a fruitful New Year in advance.”
