Gov. Wike orders arrest PDP Rep Member for oil bunkering

The Rivers State Governor, has ordered the arrest of Chinyere Igwe, a House of Representatives member representing Port Harcourt constituency for alleged oil bunkering.
This comes a day after the government sealed businesses owned by Peoples Democratic Party, PDP chieftains loyal to its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
Security operatives attached to Government House, Port Harcourt, had in the early hours of Friday, sealed off a lounge, hotel and a petrol station, belonging to three chieftains of the PDP in the state, including a serving member of the House of Representatives, Chinyere Igwe.
Sources said no fewer than 40 staff and customers, who were at the facilities during the time of the operation, were arrested by the security operatives.
Igwe and two others, a former member of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Jones Ogbonda and former PDP chairman in Port Harcourt City local government area, Hon. Ikechi Chinda, are all associates of former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Austin Opara who is a loyalist of Atiku.
Wike on Saturday said that investigation showed that the filling station was selling adultrated products, saying that the owner should be arrested regardless of how powerful he is.
The governor also said that chieftains of the party holding meetings against him with the former national chairman of party, Uche Secondus will be crushed.
He asked them to read about Putin and friends, referencing the Russian President, Vladimir Putin.
