Gov Yusuf Donates 73,800 Desks To Kano Schools
Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has made a major move to improve the education system by distributing 73,800 three-seater desks to schools in all 44 local government areas of the state. This is part of his plan to implement the State of Emergency on Education, aimed at giving every child in Kano a better learning environment.
At a ceremony held at the Trade Fair Complex, Governor Yusuf stressed the importance of providing furniture to help students focus and succeed. He explained that these desks, built to last, will benefit students now and in the future.
The Governor also thanked over 11,000 young carpenters and welders who worked on the project, showing the government’s dedication to supporting local talent and empowering the youth.
In a picture shared by Kwankwasiyya Media Assistant, Ibrahim Adam, the governor was seen inspecting some of the newly produced desks. This initiative reflects Governor Yusuf’s commitment to fulfilling his 2023 election promises and improving education in Kano by providing necessary infrastructure and involving the community in the state’s development.
