Government Officials Pen Goodwill Messages To Gov. Diri

Some top government officials of the current administration in Bayelsa State have sent and penned goodwill messages to Sen. Duoye Diri, the State Governor, as the state celebrates over its twenty-sixth year of creation.

This is contained in a statement, which was entitled “Goodwill Message: Nigeria At 62, Bayelsa At 26” as signed jointly by ESV Moses Teibowei, the Hon. Commissioner and Dr Johnson Dagana, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure in the State, was exclusively obtained by the Track News Nigeria on the wee hours of October 1st.

Part of the statement reads: “The Honourable Commissioner, Permanent Secretary and entire staff of the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure heartily congratulate the Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency, Senator DouyeDiri; the Deputy Governor, His Excellency, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo and the good people of our dear State on the auspicious occasions of Nigeria’s 62nd Independence Day Celebration and the 26th anniversary of the creation of Bayelsa State.

Your Excellency, there is no doubt, God has good and perfect intentions for Bayelsa. Hence, he has placed you, at this time of our history, to bring all-round development that would translate to prosperity for all.”
Equally, the statement says: “As Governor, you have displayed uncommon wisdom, understanding, passion and courageto build a peaceful, united and prosperous Bayelsa through infrastructural development. Consequently, you have carried out projects in all three senatorial districts of the state without discrimination. Some of these laudable projects include the construction of over twenty internal roads, the Sagbama-Ekeremor, Yenagoa-Oporoma, Nembe-Brass Roads; the construction of Glory Drive, AIT/Igbogene Outer Ring Road, the New Yenagoa City Link Road, the Ernest Ikoli Media Complex; the completion of Judges’ Quarters, the completion of NYSC Orientation Camp, the construction of an ultra-modern transport terminal at Igbogeneaside from the many other projects spread across the state.”

“We, therefore, celebrate with you and the state even as we mark the 26th anniversary of the creation of Bayelsa State and the 62nd independence anniversary of our great nation, Nigeria,” it concludes.
