Governor Adeleke Backs South West Games 2025

Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has fully endorsed the South West Games 2025, calling it a transformative initiative that will drive youth empowerment and regional socioeconomic growth.

During a courtesy visit at the State House in Osogbo, Governor Adeleke received the President of the South West Games 2025, Akogun Lanre Alfred, and members of the organizing committee. He, along with his Deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi, was presented with a customized tournament jersey.

Expressing excitement about the event, Adeleke pledged his unwavering support and confirmed his attendance at the tournament’s kickoff on March 25, 2025.

“The South West Games 2025 is a landmark initiative that will redefine sports and youth development in our region. Sports inspire discipline, growth, and success, and I am proud to endorse this noble cause. I will be there to witness history in the making,” he stated.

Adeleke, known for his dedication to youth empowerment and grassroots engagement, praised the tournament’s vision, emphasizing its alignment with his administration’s goals of economic development and talent promotion in Osun and beyond.

The South West Games 2025 will feature 1,200 athletes and 120 officials from across the six South West states, promising an exciting showcase of talent and competition.
