Governor Buni reacts to election of new speaker, principal officers by Yobe Assembly

The Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni has congratulated the newly elected Speaker and other principal officers of the state House of Assembly.
This was contained in a statement on Monday signed by his Spokesperson, Mamman Mohammed and made available to Track news in Damaturu.
Buni said the harmony exhibited by the legislators in the election of the new leadership is both commendable and reassuring.
According to him, it was an indication of the unity of purpose to collectively work for the development of the state and the interest of the people.
He charged the assembly to see the executive and Judicial arms of government as partners in progress that are committed to improving the lives of the people of Yobe State.
“I, therefore, congratulate the state House of Assembly and the good people of Yobe State on this development,” Governor Buni said.
Recall that, Chiroma Buba Mashio was elected the Speaker of the state Assembly, Ya’u Dachia, as Deputy Speaker and Nasiru Hassan Yusuf as a House Leader while Hassan Mohammed, Mohammed Awwal Isa Bello and Hon. Ahmed Musa Dumbol have been elected the House Deputy leader, Chief Whip and Deputy Chief Whip respectively
