Governor Sani orders investigation of alleged shooting in Sabon Gero community

Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani has ordered a full investigation into the alleged shooting in Sabon Gero community, Chikun Local Government Area by the men of the Kaduna Vigilance Service, KADVS.
In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Muhammad Shehu Molash, he said the officers of KADVIS were allegedly trying to push back residents attempting to stop the Kaduna State Urban Planning and Development Authority, KASUPDA, from carrying out demolitions in the community.
According to the statement, the Governor expressed deep concern about the incident and directed the relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation to determine the facts of the matter and ensure that justice is served.
The statement added that the Governor reiterated his commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all citizens, adding that the development negated the safety and security agenda of his administration.
He called on all parties to remain calm and law-abiding.
The Governor further emphasized that his administration was committed to upholding the rule of law and would not tolerate any action that violated the rights of citizens or undermined the peace and security of the state.
He called on all residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the appropriate authorities
