Gunmen kidnap two passengers in Rivers
Gunmen have kidnapped two passengers in Rivers State.
The passengers were reportedly whisked away from Emohua-Kalabari road in the afternoon.
It was learnt the two victims were on their way to a Kalabari community when they were rounded up by the assailants.
The Acting Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command, DSP. Grace Iringe-Koko, who confirmed the incident, said policemen had been deployed to secure the freedom of the victims.
Iringe-Koko said: “Police are aware of the incident. They were two passengers and a driver in the vehicle. The driver escaped and the two passengers were kidnapped. Mobilisation has been made to ensure that the victims are released unconditionally.”
