Gunmen kill community leader in Plateau

The Ardo of Panyam in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau state, Alhaji Adamu Gabdo has been killed by gunmen. Transition Committee Chairman of Mangu Local Government Area, Markus Artu, who confirmed the murder, described it as barbaric, and a deliberate act by hoodlums to plunge the council into another round of chaos.
Artu disclosed that security operatives are on the trail of perpetrators, adding that Mangu people have since resolved to live peacefully with each other, irrespective of tribe or religion, and would not allow anyone come between them.
