Hard Weapons Recovered As Troop Destroys IPOB/ESN Camp

A merged team comprising troops of 302 Regiment of the Nigerian Army, personnels of the Nigerian Navy, Department of State Services and Nigeria Police Force have cleared the camps belonging to Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and Eastern Security Network (ESN) at Idara Nnebo, Ihe Mbosi villages and Ukpor in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, the spokesperson of the Nigerian Army, made this in a brief communique on June 26th.
He elucidation that the dislodging operation was conducted in the early hours of Saturday 25 June 2022 and the troops cleared IPOB fire positions and Improvised Explosive Devices to cart away the criminals from their den of atrocities.
Track News Nigeria learnt that the troops recovered two AK-47 rifles, three magazines with five rounds of 7.62 mm (Special) ammunition, two pump action rifles and one locally fabricated gun and others in the list are three power generators.
Our Correspondent, Mohammed Oluwatimileyin Taoheed, says thetroops of 103 Battalion also did a raid operation on IPOB/ ESN camp at Nkwere Inyi Forest in Oji River Local Government of Enugu State.
The encounter forced the criminals to run helter slelter while troops recovered one Lexus and a Toyota Highlander SUV which a source said might have been stolen by the criminals.
While having an interview with Track News Nigeria, Gen. Nwachukwu advised the citizens of the country to lay their support for the troops with actual information on the activities of the criminals in the region.
