Hausa/Yoruba clash: Every state is for all Nigerians – Atiku condemns Shasha violence

Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has called for an end to the killings in the Shasha area of Ibadan, Oyo State.
Atiku on his Twitter page noted that every Nigerian no matter their tribe is permitted to be in any state.
His tweet read: “ The state of origin of every Nigerian is Nigeria.
Nigeria gave birth to the states. The states did not give birth to Nigeria.
“Every Nigerian state must be 100% for 100% of all Nigerians, 100% of the time. No exception.
“Therefore, the bloodletting must stop in Shasha, and stop in every other locality.”
TrackNews Online reported earlier that crisis erupted in Shasha market in Ibadan between the Yoruba and the Hausa community following a disagreement between a Yoruba man and a Hausa resident which led to the death of many people.
One person also died in the market as a result of a charm allegedly placed on him by another fellow.
Despite the closure of the market by the Oyo government, the clash between the two resident tribes continued over the weekend.
