HEALTH CARE: GAVI, UNICEF Donate Free Essential Medical Equipment To Bayelsa State Govt.

The Commissioner, Ministry of Health Bayelsa State, Professor Seiyefa Brisibe on behalf of the State government received free essential medical equipments to support quality healthcare services in the State, at the Bayelsa Drug Distribution Center yesterday in, Yenagoa.
The free essential medical equipments to support quality healthcare services includes, examination tables, Stethoscope, vaccine carriers, etc, was donated by GAVI and UNICEF in their aim to join in strengthening and improving the healthcare systems in Bayelsa State.
Prof. Brisibe, the Health Commissioner on behalf of the State government lauded GAVI and UNICEF, saying it’s one partnership that’s working across health sectors in the State and the nation at large.
He also thanked the traditional rulers, the workforce at the primary health care centers across the State for their corporation, partnership as without the needed collaborations the upward progression, offer indices would be not seen, he also thanked the leadership of health in the State for being focused in their work.
Traditional rulers, health workers at the rural areas were encouraged by the Health Commissioner, Prof. Brisibe, to use the equipments for the good of the people, to improve the health indices, and the positive progression that is seen so far.
The Health commissioner was joined by the permanent secretary MOH, Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwatoyin Azebi, directors of the Health Ministry, executive secretaries of the Ministry, and other Staff.
