Ibn Sina explained that the Hisba guards disrupted the marriage following a report it received from good samaritans.
He said 19 youths were arrested who had gathered to witness the wedding of two suspected homosexuals.
“Fifteen women and four males who were at the centre to serve as witnesses for the planned same-sex marriage were arrested.”
Ibn Sina explained that the duo tagged as bride and groom, Abba and Mujahid escaped immediately after the arrival of the Hisbah personnel at the wedding venue.
He noted that the board is working to arrest the duo and other people who attended the event.
The Hisba commandant said the arrested suspects will be handed over to the police for further investigation
