Hon. Mrs. Ebizi Ndiomu Brown Congratulates Governor Diri on Tribunal Victory

The member representing Sagbama Constituency 3 in the Bayelsa State House of Assembly, Hon. Mrs. Ebizi Ndiomu Brown, has extended her heartfelt congratulations to Governor Douye Diri following the success of the tribunal verdict validating his election as the Governor of Bayelsa State.
In a statement released today, Hon. Mrs. Ebizi Ndiomu Brown expressed her joy and satisfaction at the tribunal’s decision, which she described as a victory for democracy and the rule of law. She commended the tribunal for its thorough and impartial handling of the case, noting that the judgment reaffirms the people’s mandate given to Governor Diri and his deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo.

Hon. Mrs. Ebizi Ndiomu Brown praised Governor Diri’s leadership and his commitment to the development of Bayelsa State, highlighting his efforts in areas such as education, healthcare, infrastructure, and youth empowerment. She pledged her continued support and cooperation with the Governor and his administration in their quest to move Bayelsa State forward.
The tribunal’s verdict, which was delivered after several weeks of legal proceedings, dismissed the petition challenging Governor Diri’s victory in the November 11, 2023 gubernatorial election. The tribunal ruled that the petition lacked merit and upheld Governor Diri’s election as the rightful Governor of Bayelsa State.
