Hon. Sokari Goodboy Calls For Regulation Of Rivers State Real Estate Sector.

****As His Bill, Real Estate Regulatory Authority Bill 2024 Scales Through First Reading
The rivers state House of Assembly is leading debate to regulate Real Estate activities which is currently a growing concern in the Country.
On top of this bill, is the leader of the Rivers state House of Assembly Hon Sokari Goodboy Sokari who with the support of his constituents presented the Rivers state Real Estate Regulatory Authority bill to the house during Plenary.
The leader of the house, said the bill is designed to regulate the real estate sector in Rivers State, which will ensure transparency, accountability, and fairness within the industry.
Hon Sokari Goodboy Sokari after Plenary has this to say: “Today, I had the privilege of sponsoring the Rivers State Real Estate Regulatory Authority Bill, 2024, which was presented on the floor of the House during plenary sitting. This bill is designed to regulate the real estate sector in Rivers State, ensuring transparency, accountability, and fairness within the industry. By fostering a more organized and trustworthy real estate market, we aim to protect the interests of developers, homebuyers, and all stakeholders involved”.
The bills scaled through its first reading, marking a significant step forward in addressing critical needs within our state.
The leader of the House, Hon Sokari Goodboy Sokari affirmed that The House also received the Auditor General’s report on local government councils and a petition from Iloma Community in Bonny Local Government Area regarding an oil spillage attributed to NNPCL.
He opined that These matters are of great importance, as he commends the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Victor Oko-Jumbo, for his assurance that they will receive due consideration in the coming sessions.
According to Hon Sokari Goodboy Sokari, We remain committed to driving legislative actions that address the needs and aspirations of the people of Rivers State.
