How Heavily Pregnant Singer, Simi Saved A Marriage From Collapsing

TRACKING___Singer Simi real name Simisola Ogunleye has unintentionally saved a marriage from collapsing. This happened yesterday, which was mother’s day when the singer posted some inspiring messages about love and marriage on her social media handles.

In the post, Simi, who is expecting a baby soon, highlighted the importance of self love everyday, finding someone who is worth loving to love and making oneself worthy to be loved and chosen every single day.

Her post reads: “Words, when you know how to use them, can make all the difference.

“I’ve learned that at the end of it, people see you through your own eyes. When you put yourself, unapologetically, on a pedestal – even if they hate it, they acknowledge it. So love yourself everyday.

“And…your worth is not dependent on the people you love. You’re worth it just because you are. Not because someone that means everything to you says you are. I say this because people’s minds are unpredictable – your value, however, remains constant. As constant as you allow it.

“And when you choose someone, they don’t have to wonder if you’re worth loving. Cos loving someone is allowing yourself to be vulnerable, it puts you at the mercy of another person’s whims. So be somebody worth loving – or leave people alone.

“One more thing – remember that loving someone is choosing them everyday. It won’t always be easy, cos people are flawed – you and them. So when you find someone that is worth it (don’t lie to yourself) – You keep choosing them. That conscious act is the beauty of commitment.

“For clarity, I was talking abt what I believe commitment should be. It’s constant. Putting ur partner first. Prioritising them everyday, not taking them for granted even when u’re surrounded by shiny things. These “love forgives all things” tweeterers, I’m not talking to you oh.”

Following these series of tweets, an appreciative twitter user could not hold her joy over what she just read as she was going through troubles in her marriage. She said in tweets that Simi’s message has healed her heart and saved her marriage.

She wrote: “Hmmmmm, Simi you just prevented a break up with this write up….”

Noting that her message had made a good impact, Simi smiled at the commendation but further reminded the fan to act wisely.

“Lol ok. But remember to choose yourself too. And you do that when you choose the people worth choosing.”

However, the Duduke singer kicked against staying in an abusive marriage deprived of love and care, saying “If someone doesn’t give you this energy, I don’t know what you’re doing there oh.”
