“How I Discovered Ayra Starr, Rema” – Don Jazzy

Founder of Mavin record label, Don Jazzy has revealed how his record label found popular singers, Ayra Starr and Rema.
Rema and Ayra Starr’s songs have continue to gain recognition in the world.
Ayra Starr’s ‘Bloody Samaritan’ has remained one of the top songs in 2011 and has been trending worldwide.
Likewise, Rema is a sensational singer who has performed globally and has been celebrated for his sound.
Don Jazzy, speaking with The Afrobeat Podcast revealed that he found Ayra Starr and Rema on Instagram.
Don Jazzy urged young artists to promote themselves on social media as music label producers do not have the time to attend physical shows like previous years.
“There are different ways we discover artists at Mavin. First of all D’prince has a mad skill to discover artists.
“He found Rema from Instagram, he has the talent of sieving through the noise and finds the artists that fits me.
“We also found Ayra Starr on Instagram so young artists need to know that its 2021 and social media is a great tool to promote their songs and career,” he said.
