How Vigilante Officer Collected 17 Phones I Stole From Store, Shared It Among Colleagues — Arrested Suspect

A 27-year-old man was detained by Edo state police command agents for breaking into a phone shop in the state’s Ikpoba-hill neighborhood and st£aling 17 mobile phones. On May 28, 2023, the cr#me was allegedly committed by the suspect, Titus Danjuma.
After committing the cr#me, the suspect, according to a police source, went to the Ahor community where he was confronted by vigilantes. The vigilantes found all 17 of the suspect’s phones after searching his bag, and they released the suspect.
The perplexed store owner reported the cr#me to the police and shared Close Circuit Television (CCTV) footage of the incident with security personnel and employees at the plaza where the store is located.
Consequently, a member of the plaza staff located the suspect in the Aduwawa area. The suspect was quickly arrested and transferred to the anti-cr#me unit of the Edo state Police command after the staff raised an alarm.
After a thorough investigation, the suspect allegedly told the police how the vigilantes beat him into a coma and forcibly took all of his cell phones from him under thr£at of force.
According to reports, the vigilantes divided up the exhibits among themselves. The police detained the vigilante group leader after receiving a tip, and they also found five cellphones.
