Huge relief for Chelsea star as Serie A side claim a bid have not been made for their forward
– AC Milan have come out to dismiss rumours linking Higuain to Chelsea
– The Argentine has been linked with the Blues to replace misfiring Morata
– But Sporting Director Leonardo has said there has been no agenda on the issue
Premier League giants, Chelsea have not made a move for AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain to replace struggling Alvaro Morata, according AC Milan sporting director.
Maurizio Sarri’s squad had lacked the finishing touch upfront as the Spain international has flopped since swapping Real Madrid for Stamford Bridge.
Therefore, Eden Hazard has been drafted into the center-forward position in the last four Premier League matches for the Blues.
And it is expected that the ex-Napoli boss should cash-in on a No.9 in the incoming January transfer window.
But according to AC Milan sporting director Leonard, 30-year-old Higuain, who is currently on a season-long loan from Juventus, is not on the agenda.
He said: “We haven’t received any offer from Chelsea – no one has asked us for him and he didn’t ask to leave.
“Anyway, at AC Milan we keep only the players who want to stay here.
“It is difficult to manage a striker when he doesn’t score.
“Higuain must find the real himself, he is living in a different situation for him, he left Juventus and he is here on loan.
“He is very important for us and he knows it.”
Meanwhile, TRACKNEWS.NG had earlier reported that Premier League giants Chelsea have reportedly given up on striker Alvaro Morata and the Blues are ready to go for the signing of Argentine forward Gonzalo Higuain in January.
Chelsea gaffer Maurizio Sarri is said to be interested in bringing Gonzalo Higuain to Stamford Bridge when the January transfer window opens.
