‘I Am Not Dealing With Tinubu, I Only Know Him As The APC Presidential Candidate’ – Lamidi Apapa

Numerous accusations have been leveled against Mr. Lamidi Apapa, the Acting National Chairman of the Labour Party, and one of them claims that he is being backed by the APC Flagbearer, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. However, Mr. Lamidi has refuted these allegations and clarified his supposed relationship with Tinubu.

He stated that he only recognizes Tinubu as the Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress.

Furthermore, he emphasized that he was not supported by the opposition party to work against his own party. He also denied reports claiming that he dissolved the Obi/Datti Presidential campaign Council, asserting that he lacked the authority to do so as the council was not inaugurated by him.

He stated, “The rumors claiming that I disbanded the Presidential campaign council are false. What you didn’t create, you can’t undo. I wasn’t the one who initiated it, so I had no power to disband it. I did not question Obi’s qualifications to be the party’s candidate. I have no dealings with Tinubu; I merely recognize him as a Nigerian and the Presidential candidate of the APC.”
