“I believe INEC’s refusal to post the results online was due to Peter Obi” – Dokubo says
Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo, a well-known traditional title holder in the state of Rivers, expressed dissatisfaction with a few errors made during voting in his community on February 25th, 2023.
The traditional title holder stated in a video: “We nearly slapped a member of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) who was rigging the election in rivers state in favor of the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Gregory Obi. I later told the boys not to touch her, but we have evidence of everything they did that day and are prepared to present it during the tribunal “.
He went on to say: “I believe Peter Obi was the reason for INEC’s unwillingness to post the results online. I was there on the day they were urging people to vote for Peter Obi. If it weren’t for the fact that we don’t fight over elections in my village, a fight would have broken out on that day, but I made sure it was calm “.
