I Hope Tinubu’s Phone Call & Peter Obi’s Visit Won’t Bring Bad Luck To The Super Eagles”- Deji Adeyanju Warns
Political commentator Deji Adeyanju raises a cautionary flag as he anticipates potential interference from politics in the ongoing Super Eagles match against Angola. Adeyanju’s concern stems from the recent involvement of political figures, including a phone call from President Tinubu and a visit from Peter Obi.
President Tinubu, currently in France, reached out to the Super Eagles today to boost their morale during the match. Simultaneously, the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is reported to be present with his team in Abdijan, Cote D’Ivoire, where the game is being played.

The political presence extends further with notable figures like Saliu Mustapha, Simon Lalong, and Senator President Godswill Akpabio spotted in Abdijan.
Expressing his concern on his social media handle, Deji Adeyanju states, “I hope Tinubu’s phone call & Peter Obi’s visit won’t bring bad luck to the Super Eagles. Nigerian politicians always use everything for politics; from insecurity to sport. Just leave the Eagles alone to do their thing.”
He continues with a plea to the Super Eagles, “Dear Super Eagles, please ignore the attention-seeking politicians and focus on this game. Na una we dey use hold body for this dollar trauma.”
