“I am Jonathan’s God Son.”
Barr. Alabo George Turnah (MON) has again acknowledge his loyalty and sonship to former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
Turnah stated this when he appeared on a TrackNews Live TV interactive session where he equally recount his ordeal with EFCC for the past seven years.
It will be recall that Turnah who was standing trial by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) of 23 Count charges bothering fraud N2.9bn and abuse of office when he severed as Special Assistant to Managing Director of NDDC between 2012 to 2015 has just gotten a judgement clearing him of all charges level against by the EFCC by Honourable Justice A . T. Mohammed in Federal High Court, Port Harcourt.
“I just have to be a man over the years until the victory that came my way”, Barr. Turnah said.
Yes, I had a privileged of serving under two NDDC Boss as S.A on Youth Development and Women Affairs and am just an appointee answerable to my Boss’s and I resigned when APC came in 2015 and as a man of principle and honour I took that hard decision.
According to Barr. Alabo George Turnah, he was shocked on 6th of March, 2017 when a team of EFCC operatives stormed his county home in Kolo in Ogbia LGA and ransacked his house and left with several personal documents and started investigating everything about his life and on the 23rd May, 2017 he was arriagn in Federal High Court Port Harcourt on a 12 count charge and on five appearance they kept amending the charges and he had to take a plea on each of the adjournment until the count increase to 23.
They called twenty one witnesses and I called twenty as well.
“There was frivolous allegations against me which are not part of those 23 count charges, that former President, Jonathan gave me money to develope Ogbia and Bayelsa State and I took all the money, that Jonathan gave me money to build Ogbia Brotherhood Hall, buying of vehicle for Ogbia Traditional Rulers and N8bn to organize Football tournament within the region, but they are all lies”, said Barr. Turnah.
He said some of the things he did then was from his pocket as he felt a sense of responsibility to give back to his people as one who Former President has groom and to him it’s a privilege to give back to society by assisting people from the little he have.
Barr. Alabo George Turnah added that he is grateful to God he is alive as judgement has been delivered in his favour and that the EFCC were unable to prove one among all the 23 Charges against him.
