I Thank God Because If These People Were Not There, I’m Very Sure I Would Have Been Dead—Apapa
During a briefing made by the LP Faction, the factional leader of the Labour Party, Lamidi Apapa, held a meeting to speak about the incident that happened in the court. Lamidi Apapa started by thanking God that his people were present while he was been whisked away from the crowd, pointing out that if not for then, he would have been dead by now.
He further stated that the crowd prevented him from speaking to the press after the court hearing, adding that the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi is very much aware of their presence.
According to him, “Immediately after the closure of the courts, the arranged thugs which I believed Peter Obi is aware of pounced on me and as they pounced on ne, they removed my caps, lift me up. Thank God because if these people were not there, I’m very sure I would have been dead because they denied me to talk there and did all sort of things to deny me from addressing the press.”
