Our correspondent also reported that a former senator representing Bauchi North Senatorial Zone, Nazif Sulaiman Gamawa and a son of Adamu Muazu, former Bauchi governor, Ahmed Ahmadu Mu’azu, did not participate in the screening and primaries for reasons yet to be ascertained.

However, speaking in Bauchi, the state capital, the Director-General of the Campaign Organization team of Mu’azu junior, Dr.Kabiru Garba Allah, while fielding questions from reporters in Bauchi, said they had already written a petition to the National Working Committee of the party, with an appeal filed before the appeal committee over his non-inclusion.

Dr. Kabiru further said that “if Bauchi governor, Bala Mohammed participates in the presidential primary election and loses, and comes back to claim the state PDP Gubernatorial ticket, then we have more reason to believe that we were denied participation in the screening and primary election deliberately because of him.”

When contacted, the state Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Yayanuwa Zainabari, said he is not aware that Ahmed junior is contesting for any seat, adding that the party only knows of Kashim as the only aspirant who purchased the PDP governorship nomination and expression of interest forms.
