I will leave Nigeria a safer Country, Buhari

With less than six months to the expiration of his tenure, President Muhammadu Buhari has again assured Nigerians that he would leave Nigeria a safer country by the time he leaves office in 2023.
The President gave the reassurance on Wednesday during the Emblem Appeal Launch for the 2023 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration, held at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The President commended the nation’s armed forces for their efforts at making the country a safer place for all citizens and visitors, assuring of his administration’s continued support and needed funding, for them to continue in their efforts.
The event, which took place shortly before the weekly Federal Executive Council, (FEC) meeting, also had many senior government officials and dignitaries from various sectors, including Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, President of the Senate, Dr Ahmed Lawan, ministers, military and other security chiefs, among others.
The President was decorated with the emblem by the National Chairman of the Legion, retired Major General Abdulmalik Jibril.
