TRACKING____Former Spokesman and member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kassim Afegbua, says he will not support Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki for the second term in office. that his blue Print will go for Iyamu who is contesting from the All Progressive Congress (APC).
He made the new Reveal during an interview with Channels TV on Monday night in Federal capital territory (FCT). Torixus reports.
Kasim said his anger towards Obaseki is as a cause of how democracy works in the country.
“My position on Obaseki is not borne out of desperation, is not borne out of greed, is not a born of money politics.
“My position on Obaseki is born out of the fact that there has to be a difference in the way of manner that democracy is running this country.”
” Someone cannot just join your party within 24 hours you surrender every whims and Caprices of the party to him. And there you see back and tell me that you are celebrating your Christmas early enough in the day.
*I’m not going to be part of that process I owe the right to vote, to owe my vote and to vote whoever I want and I have said categorically that I will vote for the opposition candidate.
“I don’t have any apology to render anyone with respect to that. If you feel that is anti-party activities that’s your business.
He also voiced that if the party should suspend him for choosing to vote for the opposition. That it’s non of his business since they can’t prevent him from supporting Iyamu.
“If you want to remove me from the party, want to suspend me, want to expel me? That’s your business.
You can not suspend my vote. You can suspend my membership of party.
” So for me, I don’t like pretences, I don’t pretend about situations, about scenarios about persons.
“You cannot surrender a party to someone who Just you because you feel that he has resources to dispense with, these are not his resources. These are State resources.
“As a stakeholder in edo, I have the right to interrogate the processes that led to his emergence, have to be consulted.” He said
