I won’t rest until I bring relief to Nigerians’ Buhari assures Nigerians
“I won’t rest until I bring relief to Nigerians,” Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari said in a statement on Friday.
Mr. Buhari, currently in his hometown in Daura, Katsina State, said he was aware of the hardship Nigerians are currently facing, with insecurity and the high cost of living.
The President said, “I am quite aware of the difficulties people are facing and working to resolve them.”
Buhari said this in his message to Nigerians to mark the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
A senior Presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu, said in the statement that Mr. Buhari is trying to find a solution to the current hardship the people are facing.
Garba quoted Buhari as saying that his administration will not rest until the country is improved.
Insecurity in Nigeria has spiked across the country as one of the country’s most secured prisons, Kuje prison, was attacked by a regrouped ISWAP terrorist group.
The increasing cost of food items and fuel scarcity – despite being an oil-producing country- has further worsened the nation’s woes.
