Ibadan commuters are stranded due to a fuel shortage

Many commuters on the streets of Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, were stranded on Tuesday due to the city’s current fuel shortage.
Since three days ago, long lines of commercial buses, cars, and private vehicles have returned to the majority of the petroleum stations in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
On Tuesday, there was tension because the majority of gas stations had shut their doors against customers.
Petroleum stations with long lines can be found in Ojoo, Sango, Agodi Gate UI-Secretariat Road, Bodija, Eleyele Road, and Apete, all of which were visited by a Track News correspondent on Tuesday.
Only one petroleum station is still selling fuel at N180 per litre, while others have raised their pump prices to N195 or higher, even up to N250.
Predictably, the N180 station was completely full.
Some Ibadan residents who spoke with Track News complained about having to wait several hours for the commodity.
Commuters also complained about spending several hours at bus stops before arriving at their destinations.
Ajibola, a respondent, explained that he purchased the commodity on Monday evening for N250.
“It was terrible; I bought fuel along the Ijebu-Ode Road on Monday for N250.” And no one is speaking. As a result, we are our own activists. People took to the streets to protest during Jonathan’s tenure, so where are the activists now?” He bemoaned.
At the time of writing, only a few petrol stations had opened across the city.
