Ibadan: Makinde Express Sadness Over Bullion Van Robbery
The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde has expressed sadness over the death of police officers killed during the robbery attack which occurred in the Idi-Ape area of Ibadan on Thursday.
www.tracknews.ng had earlier reported that armed robbers attacked a bullion van at the Idi-Ape area of Iwo Road on Thursday.
The incident which led to the death of some security personnel, saw some people desert their cars during the attack.
Makinde in a post on his Twitter account shared his cond
Makinde shared his condolences via his Twitter page and pledged that security agents are currently carrying out investigations.
He wrote, “I received the sad news of the robbery attack at the Idi-Ape axis of Ibadan which resulted in death and injuries of residents.
“The security agencies are investigating the incident. I pray that the souls of the dead rest in peace, and ask that we keep their families in our prayers.”
Makinde commended the people who contacted the emergency toll lines to report the incident.
He further expressed his appreciation to “all security officers who continue to put their lives on the line for us.”
