IBB pays tribute to Anenih; describes late statesman as a master strategist

The late Tony Anenih has been described as a master strategist by former military president, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (GCFR).

IBB, in his tribute to the former minister of works, described him as a charismatic elder statesman who had a unique passion for providing solutions to the governance problems of the country, Channels TV reports.

TRACK NEWS gathers that Babangida also stated that “Nigeria and Nigerians will greatly miss a political master strategist in the next political dispensation.”

He added: “The demise of Chief Tony Anenih is a big loss to the political scene of Nigeria at this crucial time of electioneering campaigns.”

The former military ruler also commiserated with the entire Anenih family, the Oba of Benin, the government and people of Edo state as well as the entire members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Recall that Legit.ng previously reported that the former minister of works and housing, Chief Tony Anenih, popularly called “Mr Fix It”, had died at the age of 85.

He died on Sunday, October 28, at the Cedar Crest hospital in Abuja, where he had been on admission
