ICPC Jails Whistleblower For Exposing Corruption In NSC

A Whistleblower, Dr George Davidson, who exposed corruption in the National Sports Commission, NSC, has been apprehended and detailed by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC.
The irony of the situation is that Dr Davidson is an investigative reporter with Eagle Eye Transparency International and sacrificed his time and resources to bring to light a mega rich civil servant, Mrs Regina Dominic Nkpa Ebiabe, running down the NSC with her colleagues.
Initial Experience of Whistleblower After Exposing Mrs Dominic
Earlier, it was reported last year that one Mrs Dominic, a staff of NSC in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, allegedly lives above her income and assets declaration status.
According to the report, Mrs Dominic is a Grade level 8 official civil servant and at the same time a director of a private company while in public service and worth over five hundred million naira (N500m).
It was also discovered that besides owning a private company while in public service and a lump of large sum reportedly found in her bank account, she also owns buildings and estates in Abuja, as well as fleet of exotic cars and lives in a sprawling estate.
The report also showed that unknown gunmen kidnapped the whistleblower, Dr Davidson after he revealed all the cover ups of the so-called civil servant.
The Abductors reportedly stormed his residence in Abuja, beat him to stupor, kidnapped and took him to unknown destination.
Other investigations later revealed that the “kidnappers” turned out to be police officers on the payroll of Regina Dominic.
Whistleblower Drags Police to Court
The whistleblower would later drag the intelligence Response Team, IRT of the IGP Unit before the Independent Investigative Panel on Human Rights Violations by the defunct SARS and other units of the Nigerian police for redress.
And just last week, the Panel sat on and heard allegation of abuse of office brought by whistleblower, George Davidson against the IGP Monitoring Unit.
Respondents in the complaint include ACP A.A. Ellenman, SP Onale Silas Egbeh, Inspectors Edison Ehurwun, Madaki Emmanuel Wisdom, Babanana Aliyu, Innocent Ujah, Musa Yohanna (all of IGP-Monitoring Unit) and Monday Opanda IGP-IRT, Ms. Regina Dominic Nkpa Ebiabe and one Patience Yakubu.
Davidson disclosed that he has undergone serial unlawful abductions, detentions, torture and witnessed falsifications of court documents, particularly, the warrants of detentions.
However, despite all efforts to extricate himself from the clutches of the said Mrs Dominic, she would later buy over the ICPC and use the anti-corruption agency against him.
