If electorate want Atiku, who is Mbaka to play god’
Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu has been advised to stop playing god and arrogating to himself, the power of life and death over men and their destinies.
A support group of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, gave the caution yesterday in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
The Atiku South East Support Group maintained that Mbaka cannot arrogate to himself the powers to make utterances beyond him.
National Publicity Secretary of the group, Chief Christian Akpunonu, said Mbaka’s comments and antecedent at the said bazaar was unfortunate and primitive.
He said, “My candid take on Rev.Mbaka’s statement is that he was driven by mere primitive instinct for material acquisition and lacks the spiritual rectitude to bless or curse Atiku Abubakar if God has anointed him to be the next President.
“The truth remains that there is no king without God. And the voice of the people is sometimes the voice of God. So, if the electorates say Atiku is their choice for President in 2019, then, who is Mbaka to decide for God?”
The group regretted the sad scenario that has brought the church to public ridicule in the last few days and urged clerics to always be guided by their apostolic mandate.
