If Tinubu Expects A Medal From This Decision, He Will Be Disappointed And Receive Curses–Joe Ajaero

According to a news published by Vanguard paper, The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) expressed its displeasure on Tuesday over President Bola Tinubu’s claim that the subsidy was implemented without consulting the appropriate parties or taking adequate steps to lessen its effects on workers.
The NLC chairman, Comrade Joe Ajaero, expressed regret in his statement that some traders closed their gas stations hours after the statement and that prices in some places immediately increased. Millions of Nigerians wept and felt sadness instead of the new hope the administration had promised, despite the NLC chairman calling the action insensitive. He added that the quality of life for Nigerians has dropped by over 300 percent as a result of President Tinubu’s statement.
The statement read: “We at the Nigeria Labor Congress are outraged by President Bola Tinubu’s statement on the “removal of fuel subsidy without proper consultation with critical stakeholders or without mitigation measures to mitigate the harsh effects of “subsidy elimination.”. The country was rocked by a combination of service interruptions and product price increases, some of which were more than 300 percent, within hours of his announcement.
“With his unprecedented choice, President Tinubu on the day of his inauguration brought tears and sorrow instead of hope to millions of Nigerians. A 300 percent decrease in their quality of life was also brought about by him.
To treat people with such cruelty at any time, much less on the day of the inauguration, is not heroic. If he thinks this decision will win him a medal, he’ll be sorely let down and face the wrath of the Nigerian people, who will view it as a great betrayal rather than just an easy one.
