Ifelodun LCDA council Boss inaugurates CDC chairman and his committee.
The Executive Chairman of Ifelodun LCDA Mayor Olufemi Akanbi Okeowo has Inaugurated the new Chairman CDC Alhaji Jimoh Idowu Bolaji and other members of the committee.
During the inauguration which was witnessed by mammoth crowd of Community Development Associations, Okeowo charged the newly Inaugurated committee to work for the Unity and progress of the council. He said, “this is a call to duty, many people who did not know where you were living, will now look for you, call you and seek assistance from you, your phone numbers must always be available, be fair, be tolerable, be attentive and accessible to everybody that lives in this Local Government area. You have become the Ambassadors of the Local Government irrespective of tribe, creed, colour, education or status.
He further implored them to take the issues of security seriously, “bring peace and tranquility to your communities”.
The former Chairman of Ifelodun LCDA Hon. Taiwo Adenekan, who is also the Chairman of G10, advised the new executive of CDC to hold regular meetings and brief the residents on the directives of Government from the Local, state and Federal levels.
The Member representing Ajeromi Ifelodun at the House of Assembly Hon. Lukman Olumoh appealed to all the CDAs to embark on projects that can enhance growth and development in their various communities. Do not wait for the Government to do everything for you.
Comrade Olumide Paul, 1st Vice Chairman, 2nd Vice Chairman Mehmud Tejumola, General Secretary Mofere, Assistant Secretary Mrs Gbemisola Alisha Balogun, Treasurer Alhaji Nurudeen Mohammed, Financial Secretary Rasheed Abayomi Adewale, Social Secretary Adekeke Ogunbanwo, Auditor Mr Rufus Olasunkanmi Olaniwun, Publicity Secretary Olumide Apata and other Ex – official members.
The occasion was witnessed by the Secretary G10 Alhaji Lamina, former CDC Chairmen, Director of Social Development Mrs Mary Abosede Olusanya, Director of Public Affairs Olusegun Akinyemi and others.
In his acceptance speech, the Chairman CDC thanked Okeowo for the opportunity given to him by the executive Chairman and members of the Local Government Executive committee, the leaders, residents and those that made his emergence as the CDC Chairman possible.
