Igali confident Bayelsa United will maintain NPFL status

Daniel Igali has expressed confidence that Bayelsa United will avoid relegation at the end of the season.
The Restoration Boys currently occupy 16th position in the table, one point off the relegation zone.
Bayelsa United have six games left to secure their top-flight status.

Despite the enormity of the task before the team, Igali is upbeat they can turn things around.
“As you know the governor has paid special attention to the activities of our state owned clubs and he always ask about the happenings and current position of our clubs,” the Bayelsa State Sports Commissioner told the media.
“Of course this morning I was on a radio station that called me from Lagos and were expressing fears for Bayelsa United’s survival and I assured them that Bayelsa United does not have any choice but to stay up.
“I want to thank you but while doing that I want to emphasize how important it is for our athletes to stay motivated because this is a crucial time of the season.”
