Ijaw Leader Salutes Delta State Former Woman Leader, Chief Georgina Evah.

The former publicity secretary of ijaw national national Congress (INC) during the military era, Comrade Joseph Evah has described the election of delta state former woman leader, Chief (mrs) Georgina Evah as the vice chairman of Burutu local government council as the best encouragement to women politicians and professionals.

In a statement signed by the coordinator of the ijaw monitoring group (IMG) the ijaw leader thank the governor of delta state Chief sherif Oborevwori for giving women the opportunity to excel in their chosen career.

” This governor is a visionary leader without bias for gender. The women of Burutu are proud that the distinguished ambassador of their council as state woman leader is coming to the grassroot to join her chairman to manage the administration of the council. The period Chief Georgina was the woman leader of delta was the best in humanitarian services for women, widows, children and families generally.

” Again, Evah Dynasty is proud to say, we are confident, our daughter will not disappoint the state, the governor and the people of Burutu local government council area. We are proud to congratulate her for achievements in Nigeria politics especially the promotion of politics of women in the country..

The nigerdelta leader faulted the federal government revenue allocation formula in the country. According to comrade Evah ” Burutu local government council is the oldest and biggest in Nigeria and should receive the highest allocation for council areas plus its oil and gas production status including its global ranking in the oil industry as the landlord of Facados export terminals ”
