According to Seyi Shay, she learned to ignore comments on Twitter and overlook people’s opinions when it comes to her life or her career.

She made reference to some of the contestants whom she told the truth and they found it difficult to move on. Seyi Shay also asserts that Nigerians don’t listen and also hate hearing the truth.

“We are not really used to the truth yet. I think something needs to be done about it and I feel like I’m playing my part… I’m quite a blunt person anyway, I’m quite honest, frank and a lot of my judging techniques, was just me being myself. So if you’re not good, you’re not good period and if you’re good, you’re great “.

Throwing subtle shades at Twitter users, she opines that only intellects who watch the show will understand her mode of judging.

She advised Nigerians to endeavor to listen before jumping on what’s trending to avoid criticizing innocent people.

“I think that people that watch the show from start to finish understand my mode of judging and I think intellects understand my mode of judging. No pun intended, but I just know we as Nigerians, don’t listen, research, and we tend to jump on the bandwagon of whatever we think is trending at the moment”.
