I’m Not A Flip-Flopper; I Retired As A General; What Would Tinubu Be Calling Me For?—Bode George

During an interview with Arise , the Chieftain of the PDP, Chief Bode George, reacted to the claim that he is willing to work with President Tinubu if he calls him for a job. Bode George stated that he’s not a flip-flopper and that he retired as a general, so what will President Tinubu be calling him for?
He stated that at his age, he’s not looking for a job, pointing out that if Tinubu called him, he would only pray for Nigeria. According to him, “Well, you know people in your profession can sometimes be mischievous. Now, there was a gentleman. First of all, the guy who posted it in his paper and the leadership were not at the press conference. Now, if they asked me what I would do if Tinubu called me, I would say precisely that if he called me, I’d pray for Nigeria. Listen, I’m not a flip-flopper. I retired as a general. What would he be calling me for? We don’t belong to the same party.
“If he wants to say chief good morning and I say Mr. President, that is if all the court cases are over. We’re still in court. Even when Papa Olusi came, trying to convince me to go and pay a congratulatory visit to him, I said, No, I can’t do that. What futuristic thing will they be doing in their calculations? I’ve told you I have no personal quarrel with this gentleman. The only differences we have are purely administrative. Their managerial style is not my style, so why would I, at this age, be running around for a job? Job at what? The first time I was exposed to public administration, I was 42 years old; now, I’m almost 80. My first child is 50 years old, so why would I be looking for a job?
