I’m waiting for NFF to renew my contract – Rohr
TRACKING_____Super Eagles Franco-German coach, Gernot Rohr, has stated that he awaits the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for a new contract.
Rohr’s current deal with the three-time African champions will come to an end in July, and in a chat with the BBC, the former Bayern Munich player said he was yet to be approached by the NFF.
He said, “I will not ask the NFF what is going on with my contract renewal. It is for the NFF to approach me. I am still waiting. My job is to focus on the Super Eagles as long as I am the coach of this team and I am going to do just that.”
Eleven months ago, the NFF rewarded Rohr with an improved salary of N2million.
Since his appointment in 2016, Rohr has overseen 49 games for the Super Eagles with a 59% win and has qualified the Eagles to the World Cup in Russia and of recent, the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt.
Nigeria were scheduled to play Sierra Leone in Delta State on March 27, with the reverse fixture in Freetown before both matches were suspended amid coronavirus fears.
