A strong warning has been issued to the traditional rulers and people of Ngor Okpala Local Government Area in Imo State not to succumb to pressure to accept Ebubeagu operatives into the community.
According to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), if the traditional ruler of the Ngor Okpala LGA, Eze Fred Nwachukwu, allows Ebubeagu operatives into the community, they must be prepared to face the consequences.

According to Track News, the separatist group accused the Ebubeagu operatives of collaborating with terror herdsmen and security agents operating in Imo State to attack, kill, and burn down communities in a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful.

Ebubeagu is a regional security organization formed by governors from the South-east to address the region’s security challenges, which are linked to the Biafra agitation.

However, the group stated that before Eze Nwachukwu allows the Ebubeagu militia to be deployed into the LGA, he should inquire as to what the people of Orlu and Okigwe Province are experiencing at the hands of the operatives.

“We are monitoring those behind the plans to deploy and set up Ebubeagu security office at Umuneke old Post office,” the statement says in part. By contemplating or succumbing to pressure from any source, the people of Umuneke and Ngor Okpala Traditional Council are digging their own graves.

“Before the people of Ngor Okpala accept Ebubeagu deployment in their communities, they should visit local governments in Orlu and Okigwe Provinces and see what the people face at the hands of Ebubeagu militia.”

“Umuneke and the entire Ngor Okpala people must resist the evil plans or face the consequences, which include the death of their people, the destruction of their homes, and the displacement of their people.”

“IPOB is issuing a warning.” Eze Don’t say we didn’t warn you, Fred Nwachukwu, that we don’t want Ebubeagu outfit in Umuneke Ngor or anywhere in Ngor Okpala LGA, or else they’ll dance to the music that IPOB and ESN operatives will play for him and his collaborators. Nobody should blame IPOB for taking action because Ebubeagu militias are state-sponsored terrorists against our people, which we will not tolerate.”
