In Anambra, a gunman confesses to killing only two police officers and two civilians.

By Adeleye Kunle
ONE of the hoodlums operating as unknown gunmen in Anambra State has admitted to killing four people since joining the gang, including two police officers and two civilians.
Security operatives apprehended the gunman, known as ’50,’ inside a forest at Ukpor in the state’s Nnewi South local government area, along with other members of his gang.
On Friday, security forces stormed the camp, arresting some of the unknown gunmen and destroying their camp. Arms and ammunition, police and military uniforms, a coffin containing charms, and various types of drugs were discovered during the raid.
He claimed that despite the fact that many people had been killed inside the camp, including those whose relatives had already paid the ransom, he had only killed four people.
He claimed that the last person he killed before their camp was destroyed was at the request of their leader, who told him to kill the man because he was a saboteur.
He claimed that their leader, Ezemuo, who is now at large, and the late Double Lion, who was recently killed at Ihiala, were responsible for the majority of the killings.
“Some of the people we killed were accused of spying on us and acting as informants,” he explained. I killed two police officers in Ozubulu.
“Our commander, Ezemuo, from Imo State, has fled, while Virus, the second in command, has fled to Lagos, and his house in Ozubulu has been burned down.”
