In Ogun, a speeding truck collides with a car, killing one.

Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
A speeding truck collided with a car on the Abeokuta-Ota highway, killing one person on the spot.
According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the accident happened around 10:29 p.m. around Eruku and involved an Iveco container truck with the registration number LAR654YD and a Peugeot car with no registration number.
Florence Okpe, an FRSC spokesperson in Ogun, explained that the crash involved two male adults, with “one person killed and the other person unharmed.”
“The suspected cause of the crash was excessive speed,” Okpe said, “which resulted in loss of control on the part of the truck as it fell on the car.”
She also stated that FRSC operatives were on the scene managing the situation and that a crane had been contacted to lift the container from the car so that the trapped body could be removed.
