Incessant attacks: Establish indigenous security to restore peace in Southern Kaduna – Ayuba Auta
The Senatorial candidate of the Labour Party from Southern Kaduna Senatorial district in next year’s election, Engr. Michael Ayuba Auta, has suggested the establishment of indigenous security architecture in Southern Kaduna to bring an end to the continuous attacks that have claimed lives and properties in the area.
He lamented that in spite of the incessant attacks in the area for years, no concrete step has been taken by either the federal or Kaduna State governments to bring the ugly situation to a permanent end.
Briefing newsmen in Kafanchan on Saturday, the senatorial candidate said, “It is disheartening that killing of human beings has become the order of the day without any fear that man has any right whatsoever to take another life in Southern Kaduna. Following the various attacks of the people over the years, lives and properties of unimaginable proportions have been lost without any serious action taken by the government of the day to ameliorate the suffering inflicted on the innocent people.”
“The series of attacks appeared to be another conspiracy of silence to drive investors away from the area and, to totally destroy the economic potentials the area is blessed with. Something urgent needed to be done in order to arrest the ugly situation and restore the lost glory Southern Kaduna is known for.
