Insecurity: Buhari told again to resign
By Adeleye Kunle
Sani Liti, Katsina State Chapter Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to resign immediately due to rising insecurity in the country.
According to Track News, Liti made this call on Monday during a press conference in Katsina, Buhari’s home state.
According to him, President Buhari has clearly failed in his primary duty of protecting citizens’ lives and property.
“The Buhari administration has not only failed to improve the lives of Nigerians, as he promised, but has also dragged the country deeper into corruption and misery.” In the event that the President drags his feet or refuses to resign, we urge the National Assembly to use constitutional means to save Nigerians’ lives and property,” Liti said.
Buhari’s presidency is scheduled to end in about ten months.
Despite calls from the opposition to resign, he has remained steadfast.
