Insecurity: Shut Down Now – Jigawa Govt Orders Schools

The Jigawa State government has directed schools in the state to shut down and release their students immediately this Wednesday.

Track News Nigeria learnt that the straight directive for all public schools in the state was to close down is a result of fear of terrorism on schools.

Our Correspondent, Mr. Mohammed Oluwatimileyin Taoheed, covers that learning centres were abruptly locked uo on the early hours of Wednesday morning while pupils were taking their examinations.

The immediate closure has led to uncertainty and anxiety among residents and students, most of the pupils were stranded.

The Civic Education examination billed to hold on Thursday has also been affected by the government’s order.

Terrorists known locally as bandits are eager to prove they are not a spent force despite a military offensive that has run them out of many enclaves.

Recall that thousands of Nigerians have been killed recently amidst insecurity crisis in the North with most of them internally displaced from their homes.
