Institute committee to investigate killing of LP women leader – Party chieftain, Gankon

A chieftain of the Labour Party, Amb. Dr. Polycarp Gankon has called for immediate investigation and prosecution of killers of the Labour Party Women Leader, Mrs. Victoria Chintex.
He opined that the government should decisively deal with anyone or group of people found to have killed another person in any part of the country.
In a statement he issued, Gankon said, “As a party, we outrightly condemn the gruesome killing of the innocent woman who has over the years contributed immensely to the development and growth of the State. She was indeed a politician of repute and desired positive change in the society.”
He added, “It is our utmost believe that the security agencies, will as a matter of urgency, arrest the culprits and make them face the wrath of the law for short-living the life of a woman whose political experience is needed most especially at this political era for the victory of the party in the State and the country come 2023 and beyond.”
He lamented that the deceased’s husband narrowly escaped the attack as he is left to nurse the bullet wounds he sustained during the incident, saying that it was clearly a case of assassination directed at the Labour Party Women Leader.
The statement also called on the concerned authorities to address all forms of impunity which encouraged various forms of political crimes and abuses in the country, especially as the electioneering period is in its peak.
He also called on the government of Kaduna State to beef up security across the 23 local government areas of the State
