The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has ordered that another sit-at-home be observed in the Southeast on Tuesday either by fire or with force

According to Emma Powerful, who is the spokesperson of the group, told Track News Nigeria that the decision is as a result of the appearance of their leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in Court on Tuesday.

Our correspondent covers that the usual Monday sit-at-home in the region still kept residents indoors as banks, markets, shops and other commercial activities closed in Anambra and other States.

The government workers in Anambra could not be available at work as members of the proscribed group, who are agitators for a new nation called Biafra, mount threats to residents.

As seen by Track News Nigeria, part of their statement reads: “We normally announce last time that any day our leader will appear in court everybody will solidarise with our leader Mazi Nnamdi KANU.

“Therefore, tomorrow (today -Tuesday) will be sit-ay-home in Igbo land and other areas where Ndigbo reside.”
