IPOB: Nnamdi Kanu Reveals Why They Demand For Biafra
Mohammed Oluwatimileyin Taoheed reports,
The leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, has issued a call for peace in the South-East of the country after the denial of his bail request by a Federal High Court Judge.
Track News Nigeria learnt that Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court dismissed the application on Tuesday, June 28 in Abuja, noting it was an abuse of the legal system because it had already been rejected.
While speaking with news men, Kanu advised the people of the Southeast to “remain calm” and make the zone peaceful.
He said:-
“It is what we expect. But I want our people to be very calm. I want Biafranland to be calm, calm, and very peaceful. We are fighting to defend our people, not to kill them.
“We are fighting to defend them, that’s why I’m here. And we will continue to do so until we get victory.”
